Q&A- driversselect.com Service Contracts

Q- Should I purchase a service contract on the vehicle I am buying today?
A- The service contract gives you peace of mind by providing you with coverage similar to a factory warranty on a vehicle.  Today's vehicles are increasingly complex and repairs are becoming costly so if your budget is tight and paying $2000, $3000, or $4000 for a repair would be difficult, you may want to eliminate the risk and buy the contract. If you are financing the vehicle, the service contract will typically only increase your monthly payments by $20 to $40.  One the other hand if you have available cash and don't mind taking on the risk yourself then you may wan to forgo the service contract.
