winning essay: This is a school for credit recovery. People come here when something happened, they got pregnant, for many reasons. I have been here for a while and I have seen Mrs. Carroll help people and go out of her way. She has bought baby clothes for young girls who needed them. She bought me some uniforms because I could not afford to buy any. One day I forgot my lunch so she went and got me a lunch. I didn't have a ride home and she waited but ended up having to take me home, and she did it with a smile! The list goes on.. She is so sweet and goes more than out of her way just to show kids that it is important that they are here! We live in a small town, so she went around and got certificates to the tanning places and restaurants and gives them to people who make a lot of credits, and try hard. One time I needed new tires, So she went to the tire place and told them my situation and they donated me two tires. I have never seen a teacher with such a caring and thoughtful heart as her. She is the one, after doing so much for everyone she should have someone do something nice for her! This one time I got a ride home with a couple of guys I go to school with. And the next day I was sick. When I came back she pulled me into a room and with tears in her eyes, Asked if I got home and was safe. She said she had a bad dream about me leaving with them and lost sleep because she was concerned! She is a teacher who really does care. And she deserves this more than anyone! |
