winning essay: mr. jacobson is by far one of the most outstanding teachers i have ever had. although i had always been good in science classes i never really got involved in them. he would always come to class enthusiastic and smiling. his unfailing eagerness to teach inspired me to also try to get enthusiastic about science. he would make it a point to praise students who did well and encourage those who fell just short of the mark. even more than this, he tries to become someone who his students can identify with and not some cold unfeeling teaching machine. mr. jacobson is an outstanding teacher whose kindness and thirst to teach far surpass most other teachers i have had. his strive to be a good teacher inspired me to in turn strive to be a better student. for this i thank him and i'm sure many others feel the same way i do. |
