“Teachers Driving Success” to Award Cars to Twelve Local Educators
driversselect, CBS 11 and TXA 21 Present Program to Recognize Outstanding Teachers
Dallas/Fort Worth – driversselect, CBS 11, and TXA 21 are partnering on a twelve-week
program to recognize outstanding North Texas teachers by awarding a car a week to a deserving educator.
Dallas/Fort Worth area students and parents may nominate their favorite teacher by submitting an essay
of 50 to 200 words at www.cbs11tv.com or www.txa21tv.com.
A judging panel of North Texas education experts will choose three finalists each week based on the
following criteria: Voice, fluency, and evidence of excellence. Visitors to cbs11tv.com and txa21tv.com
will have the opportunity to vote each week for their favorite essay among the three finalists. The judges’
score and on-line vote tally will be combined each week to determine which nominee will win a car.
“Educators just don’t get enough appreciation and recognition for the impact they make in the lives of our
students. That is why we are so excited about having the opportunity to team up with CBS 11 & TXA 21 to show
our sincere appreciation for the outstanding value educators deliver throughout our schools systems.”…Steve Hall,
President of driversselect
“We’re so pleased to be able to partner with driversselect
to recognize deserving local teachers,” said CBS
11 and TXA 21 President and General Manager Steve Mauldin. “Educators play such a critical role in the lives
of our young people, and we want to do everything we can to support them.”
The first vehicle will be awarded to the winner the week of Sept 24. You can nominate your teacher today!
